This is a delightful room overlooking the garden and fells beyond. With a good selection of books, information on local walks, cycling, driving routes and board games our guests can relax in comfort during their stay. Free WiFi is available throughout the house.



Cosy bar

Our cosy, intimate  Bar with inglenook fireplace offers  a wide selection of wines, spirits, liqueurs, soft drinks and bottled cider, draught lager & beers and is open to residents and non residents. Our beer garden is open during the summer months.



Twelve en suite rooms including singles, twins, doubles and superior rooms

All of our 12 bedrooms offer en-suite facilities, most with showers and some with baths. All rooms also have a hospitality tray offering a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits. Flat screen televisions, hair dryers are also provided. Our three superior rooms are the Derwentwater Room with King size Four Poster Bed, The Garden Room (pictured) and the Stuart room with King size bed which can accommodate a fold down bed for a young person .


Dining room

Breakfast and evening meals are served in The Dining Room.  Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt for you to help yourself and a selection of cooked breakfasts.  Evening meals are available.  All our food is home cooked freshly to order and we welcome residents and non residents alike.  Menus change on a regular basis using local produces where possible. Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.



Garden with views over the fells. Our informal gardens offer an ideal habitat for wildlife. We have a large variety of small garden birds who visit the feeders daily including Chaffinches, Blue Tits, Blackbirds and Robins, there are also a number of Pheasants who take advantage of the low feeders every morning. Our native Red Squirrel who enjoys visiting the feeder, on the 100ft Sequoia Tree, which is otherwise known as an American Red Wood Tree. We are also lucky enough to spot Roe Deer who use our garden to commute daily to their favourite feeding spots. Tables are available for you to sit and enjoy a drink and enjoy the wildlife and countryside around you.
