Our pleasant single room is perfectly equipped with a modern en suite bathroom, which was installed in February 2010 as part of the ongoing refurbishment of Lowbyer Manor. The bed is covered by the Iris quilt which was hand crafted by a relative of the current owners. The room overlooks an18th Century Grade II Listed home originally built for the Manor's farm manager and our courtyard. Dogs are accepted in this room, please confirm at time of booking.

The room offers a complimentary hospitality tray with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, mineral water and biscuits. There is a television, radio alarm clock and hair dryer for your convenience.

The Iris Quilt was hand-cut, machine stitched and quilted by Lillian a Canadian cousin of the proprietors. It consists of traditional log cabin blocks, hand appliqué work as well as paper piecing techniques. It is constructed of the highest quality 100% cotton fabrics. This quilt was created here at Lowbyer Manor, Alston using Lillian’s stash of beautiful fabrics.
